On average, the consumption of chicken in Ghana grows at a rate of six percent (6%) per year. This trend of chicken consumption will continue to increase due to rapid population growth and economic growth.

COST OF POULTRY FEED

The cost of feed has been known to be more than 70% of the cost of producing chicken meat, therefore, the maize/soybean cultivation project will also serve as a reliable source of chicken feed, which feed is taxed when imported.
